Dr. Omolayo Famuyide is no longer with Signature Medical and has relocated to Saskatchewan

Dr. Omolayo Famuyide is a family physician with a passion for women's health

Dr Famuyide received her medical degree at the University of Manitoba. Following her medical school training, she moved to Vancouver to complete two years of postgraduate training in Family Medicine at The University of British Columbia (UBC). After her Family Medicine training, she moved to Toronto to complete an additional one year of postgraduate training in Women’s Health at the University of Toronto, a world leading institution in women’s health. During her training she focused on sexual health, advanced contraception, procedures (eg. IUDs, endometrial biopsies etc.) and menopause becoming a Certified Menopause Practitioner with the North American Menopause Society.

In addition to family medicine, Dr. Famuyide has an interest in medical education, pursuing advanced certification by obtaining a Clinical Teacher Certificate while at the University of Toronto. She then returned to British Columbia to locum in various communities prior to establishing a general family medicine in the community of South Surrey, BC. She also established a Women's Health clinic seeing patients from other family physicians on a referral basis for Women's Health concerns. She has served as Co-Director of Family Practice for the first and second year Family Practice Program for the Vancouver-Fraser Undergraduate Medical Education Program at UBC.

She has lectured at both the undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs at UBC and has been invited to speak on various topics involving Women's Health at multiple conferences.

On her days off, she enjoys traveling, dining, cooking and staying active with her family.
