Sara Ludu is a Registered Psychologist that brings a holistic, sensitive, relationship-based and collaborative approach to therapy.
Sara Ludu is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA). She holds a Masters in Counselling with a Specialization in Counselling Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BSc), and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) specializing in Child Welfare and Northern/Remote Issues and First Nations Studies.
In addition to her Psychology background, she has an extensive background in Social Work. She has worked for the Ministry of Children and Family Development (British Columbia) as well as the Ministry of Children Services (Alberta). She has worked in Residential Treatment settings for children and adolescents who are exhibiting behavioural issues and have experienced trauma.
In her work she specializes in individual, family, marital/relationship, and group counselling. She treats people across the lifespan including children (e.g. play therapy), adolescents (e.g. navigating identity and independence), adults (e.g. working through relationships, parenting, and career issues), and the elderly. She also provides mobile counselling for older adults with mobility issues and elderly requiring help in coping with mental and physical conditions including grief and life transitions.
She has particular interests in developmental psychopathology, attachment, depression, anxiety, trauma, and domestic violence. She has facilitated a number of therapeutic groups, including Social skills for children and youth, Parenting Groups, and groups for Children Exposed to Domestic Violence
She has experience in psychosocial assessments, organizational wellness (e.g. Suncor, Syncrude and Albion Sands), and case management (Employee Family Assistance Programs), and works with clients struggling with a diverse range of conditions.

She can also treat in several languages including Punjabi and Hindi, and practices from a culturally sensitive position.
She has over 15 years of experience in mental health and wellness. She has helped a diverse range of clients achieve their goals, choose alternative behaviours, find relief from confusion and pain and regain their sense of well-being. Throughout her diverse and lengthy work experience and education she has demonstrated the ability to develop trusting relationships with clients, reflecting her passion, dedication, enthusiasm, and professionalism to her profession.
