Dr. Zaidi’s education includes an MBBS from Dow Medical College, an MSc in Epidemiology from the University of Toronto, a Graduate Certificate in Population Health Risk Assessment and Management from the University of Ottawa. Dr. Zaidi also took the Family Medicine Residents of the Canadian Shield (RoCS) Program at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. During his studies, Dr. Zaidi received the Idara-e-Akwanussadat Merit Scholarship.

Additionally, Dr. Zaidi has been highly active in the community outside of his role as a healthcare professional. He founded Think For Actions, an NGO to empower youth and help them further their professional development. He was also the Director of the South Nepean Muslim Community and founded the Sudbury Cricket Club and Northern Ontario Sudbury Cricket Council. Dr. Zaidi's wealth of knowledge and experience has made him a valuable resource in the field and he lends his help through consultancy.
